PlusNet PAYG broadband has been upgraded for free

Released on = October 18, 2006, 12:05 pm

Press Release Author = Neil Armstrong

Industry = Telecommunications

Press Release Summary = Neil Armstrong, PlusNet's Product Development Director,
said: "Pay As You Go Broadband is ideal for customers with changing usage needs -
downloading video and MP3 files is becoming more popular and because of the
intelligent technology we use to manage our network; customers get high speeds
whether they're downloading a little or a lot."

Press Release Body = Existing and new PlusNet customers will receive the following
benefits:

. The basic amount of data transfer included as standard with PlusNet's 14.99 per
month up to 8Mb PAYG broadband, has increased to 2GB - it used to be 1GB but the
basic price remains the same.

. Extra pre-pay data transfer above the new 2GB included as standard, is now sold in
increments of 2GB for 1.50 (rather than 1 for 1GB).

. This means that extra data transfer will come in bigger amounts. Customers won't
pay any more than they currently do. They get 2GB as standard and prices are lower
overall.

. If customers don\'t choose to pre-pay for their usage and simply pay as they use,
they'll now pay 1.80 per 2GB. This used to be 1.25 per 1GB.

When is this happening?
. New customers who buy today will get the new benefits

. Existing customers are being upgraded as their billing date comes around this month.

What will customers pay?
All customers will pay less for their total monthly usage. For example:

A customer who currently uses a total of 4GB a month will save money. They did get
1GB included and pay 3 for an extra 3GB costing a total of 16.99. Now they will
get 2GB included and pay 1.50 for an extra 2GB costing a total of 16.49.

Why are we doing this?
